St. Nicholas Gardens serve as a connection between the town center and the seafront in Scarborough's South Bay. The gardens have recently undergone restoration to enhance their presentation. The beautifully presented gardens feature a variety of plants and trees, including Scarborough's own Canary Island Date Palm, which enhances the tropical atmosphere of the area.
The gardens also provide a step-free route for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
There is a grassy area at the bottom close to the beach, ideal for sitting in the sun.
