The Prince of Wales Gardens is a historic public park situated on the South Cliff of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
It is an integral part of the larger South Cliff Gardens network, which completed a significant £7 million restoration in May 2023.
Positioned at the top of the South Cliff, just west of the Esplanade, and near the Prince of Wales Terrace.
Initially established as a private garden around 1860, the garden was taken over by Scarborough Corporation in 1926 and opened to the public.
The gardens feature rockeries, a lily pond, a lawn, and a classical-style shelter, providing expansive views of the sea through mature trees.
The gardens are bordered by the Victorian architecture of Prince of Wales Terrace and offer easy access to other attractions on the South Cliff, such as the Italian Gardens and the Shuttleworth Gardens.
