Scarborough Market Hall and ‘the Vaults’ host a number of stallholders who are producers and artisan crafters. Visitors can explore and converse with the stallholders about their work. The market is open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Following a £2.7 million redevelopment, the market has become a destination for high-quality, fresh local food, as well as a diverse range of independent shops and stalls. There are ample opportunities for browsing, shopping, or simply relaxing over a coffee or meal.
On the ground floor, traditional market stalls offer an excellent range of fresh meat, fruits, vegetables, bread, cheese, and unique local shops, along with a café and deli serving freshly prepared snacks and meals.
The gallery features a variety of individual shops selling handmade crafts, jewelry, food, and more. This area also includes two cafes where visitors can enjoy freshly prepared food and beverages while taking in views of Scarborough Castle or the bustling market below.
‘The vaults’ present an intriguing mix of unique jewelry, gifts, crafts, collectibles, clothing, toys, books, and more—an assortment of individual shops that are distinct. This section also has its own café providing freshly prepared snacks and meals.
The Market Hall hosts visiting ‘pop-up’ stalls, along with regular entertainment and activities, ensuring that there is always something new to experience.
