Cloughton is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, located about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Scarborough.
It is positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and attracts hikers and outdoor enthusiasts because of its location near the coast and scenic paths.

St Mary's Church

Historical Sites: The village contains St Mary’s Church (rebuilt in 1831) and several Grade II listed structures, including the Blacksmiths Arms, which dates back to the late 17th century. 

The Cinder Track & Cleveland Way: The village serves as a significant waypoint for walkers.
The Cinder Track is a 21-mile path for cycling and walking that follows a disused railway line between Whitby and Scarborough.
The Cleveland Way National Trail also runs along the nearby coastal cliffs.



The village is also home to several pubs and restaurants, where visitors can enjoy a meal or a drink after a long day of exploring.

Alongside the Station House Tea Rooms located at the site of the former railway station.

Cloughton is located on the A171 road. The X93 bus service offers regular connections between Middlesbrough, Whitby, and Scarborough.

But it is the coast that is the big draw here, with extensive beaches in the area, Jurassic cliffs, birdwatching and beautiful views for those with a few minutes to enjoy them.
